2014 test date: THURSDAY, MARCH 27th.
This year's practice test took place Wednesday, November 27th, 2013. All students received their tests back in their homerooms the first week of December, with feedback sheets. The feedback sheet contains suggestions of area(s) for improvement for the March test. All parents/guardians and students are encouraged to go through the feedback sheet together in order to plan a "next step". Students are also encouraged to see their English teacher (or myself) if they have any questions/concerns, or if they would like additional practice materials.
Mrs. Schouten, with a group of teachers, will be working with students on specific skills over the next couple of months in group workshops. These group workshops are intended to assist students with specific skills that they are struggling with, based on the results of the practice test in November. Only students with specific concerns will take part in these workshops.
Letters will also be sent home in February to parents/guardians of students who have an IEP, or who will be exempt or deferred from the test in March.
Practice sessions will be available to ALL students eligible to write the test at Homework Club every Tuesday and Thursday in the library for the month of March. English teachers will be available to assist students with any skills and/or practice for the upcoming test.
Please contact me if you have any questions, comments or concerns ASAP ("Contact Me" tab).
